UP CM should have decency to call Hathras incident a tragedy: Rahul
Tuesday, 6 October 2020 () Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday, saying Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should have the decency to call the alleged gang rape and killing of a Dalit woman in Hathras district a “tragedy”.
Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale reacted on Hathras gang rape and murder case. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi is doing politics on Hathras gang rape and reminded him of rape incident in Rajasthan, where Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra didn't reach.
The Information and Broadcasting Minister, Prakash Javadekar slammed Congress leader P Chidambaram's demand to bring back Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. "Can Congress party mention it in their manifesto for Bihar Elections? They know that decision of abrogation of Article 370 was welcomed by the people of the country," said Prakash Javadekar. The Minister also hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that be it any topic, he likes to appreciate Pakistan and China. "Congress leader Rahul Gandhi too, in his speeches, praises Pakistan. Be it any topic, he likes to appreciate Pakistan and China. This is the point of view of Congress party," Prakash Javadekar added.
Uttar Pradesh police arrested the main accused in Ballia shooting case on Sunday. UP police's Special Task Force nabbed Dhirendra Singh from Lucknow. Police informed that arms have also been recovered from the possession of Singh and his accomplices. A man was shot dead in Ballia following scuffle over allotment of ration shops. The meeting was attended by administration and police officials on Thursday. A large group had gathered for the meeting held in a tent in Ballia's Durjanpur village. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered suspension of SDM, other officials present at the spot.

Days after a 46-year-old man was killed in a firing incident in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia district, UP Police Special Task Force (STF) brought the main accused, Dhirendra Singh to district police station. He will be produced before court tomorrow. Dhirendra was arrested earlier on October 18 from Polytechnic Crossing in Lucknow. The firing incident took place over a dispute at a meeting for selection of ration shops in Durjanpur village.
Fake liquor manufacturing unit was busted by police in Kavi Nagar area in UP's Ghaziabad. 5 accused have been arrested in this matter."Police has busted fake liquor manufacturing unit. Arms recovered from the possession of his accomplices. STF is gathering more information on the weapons used at the time of the incident. A man had died after bullets were fired during a meeting for allotment of shops under government quota. The mishap took place in Durjanpur village of Ballia district on October 15.
