Dilip Ghosh, president of BJP's West Bengal unit, trained his guns on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as the poll campaign picks up pace. Ghosh said Banerjee gets terrified whenever senior BJP leaders like PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah visit the state. He was reacting to the Trinamool Congress chief calling BJP leaders 'outsiders' following Shah's recent trip. Ghosh also repeated his charge that the TMC is turning Bengal into Bangladesh. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh interacted with Vietnamese counterpart General Ngo Xuan Lich during a bilateral meeting on November 27. An Implementation Agreement (IA) on Hydrography was signed between India and Vietnam. The event was held via video conferencing.

PDP president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and her daughter Iltija on Friday claimed that they had been detained at their residence to prevent them from visiting the house of arrested party leader Waheed Ur Rehman Parra in Pulwama in South Kashmir. Parra was remanded to 15 days of National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody on Friday following his arrest earlier this week for allegedly conspiring with Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists to get their support during the 2019 parliamentary elections. Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party Chief Mehbooba Mufti on November 27 said that she has been "illegally detained yet again". She took to her Twitter handle and alleged that her daughter Iltija also has been placed under house arrest. Heavy security deployed at her residence in Srinagar. "JandK administration has refused to allow me to visit party leader Waheed-Ur-Rehman's family in Pulwama", she claimed. Mufti was released on October 14 after being in detention from August 05 last year following the abrogation of Article 370.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) called Muslims as 'Pakistani', Sardars as 'Khalistani', activists as 'Urban Naxal' and students as members of 'Tukde Tukde gang' and 'anti-national' then who is 'Hindustani' in this country, asked Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti on November 29. I fail to understand if everyone is terrorist - anti-national, then who is 'Hindustani' in this country?Only BJP workers?"
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has never interfered in the working of the defence and the home ministries, said current Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh. He was asked about allegations that power in the NDA government is concentrated in the Prime Minister Office. Singh denied the charges, stating that PM Modi always assumes a consultational stance and participates in discussions on issues, but never interferes in ministers' work.
