Bharat Biotech bosses discuss Covaxin status with Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu

They discussed the status of the indigenous vaccine, being developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)-National Institute of Virology, and the plans to make it available in India and the rest of the world. During the interaction, the Vice-President lauded the collaboration between the ICMR and Bharat Biotech and stressed the importance of public-private partnership in bringing out the indigenous "world-class product".

Former Attorney General & Constitutional law expert Soli Sorabjee died on Friday. The 91-year-old veteran lawyer passed away after getting infected with Covid-19. NCP chief Sharad Pawar and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also tweeted and expressed their condolences. Born in 1930, Soli Sorabjee had been honoured with Padma Vibhushan in 2002.
