Electric car manufacturer Tesla may park in Gujarat

Gujarat, which has emerged as a preferred destination for global automobile giants, has made a strong pitch to invite Tesla — a leading name in the manufacture of electric cars — to set up base in the state. The company, which is setting up its research and development centre in Bengaluru, is in touch with a few states, including Gujarat, to start India operations.
