Bengali actor Srabanti Chatterjee, who recently joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kolkata, on March 03 said she wants to work on ground for the betterment of West Bengal, and also work for BJP's 'Sonar Bangla' ahead of state assembly elections. He said, "I have been working on screen for many years and people have given me a lot of love. I want to work with the people on ground and do something for West Bengal."
Bidhannagar Mayor-in-Council Debasish Jana and three Trinamool Congress (TMC) councillors from Asansol joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday in Kolkata ahead of the forthcoming Assembly polls in West Bengal. While speaking to media in Kolkata on March 02, West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Dilip Ghosh spoke ahead of the West Bengal Assembly polls. Ghosh said, "Core Committee discussed candidates for Phase 1 and 2 polls. It will be declared soon. We also reviewed the upcoming election rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Yogi Adityanath in the state."
