Only BJP can rid Assam of terrorism, says Amit Shah; Congress hits back

Pitching for another term for a BJP-led government in Assam to "safeguard" the interests of the state, Union home minister Amit Shah took potshots at Congress-AIUDF saying the alliance would open "all gates" to infiltrators if voted to power. The Congress hit back saying that the BJP's agenda is to destroy Assamese identity through the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and Hindutva politics.
