Mumbai's Karachi Bakery shut shop months after being attacked by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over its name. MNS leader Haji Saif Shaikh had sent a legal notice in Nov 2020 to owner of the Bakery. Shaikh had asked him to remove ‘Karachi’ from the name. MNS leaders also protested in front of the shop in Bandra in November. “Patriots will never buy anything when they see the name ‘Karachi’. We made it clear that we only had problem with the name not the bakery,” said Shaikh. A Twitter handle, MNCDF Bombay, refuted the MNS Haji Saif Shaikh’s claim. The handle said that Karachi bakery shut its store due to lack of business. Karachi Bakery, a Hyderabad-based chain, is run by a Sindhi Hindu migrant family. They family moved to India after experiencing violence by pro-Pakistan elements. The bakery has shops across several cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru etc. Watch the full video for more.

The first ski mountaineering games for women was organised at Gulamarg. JandK offers perfect conditions for skiing. The game was organized for the promotion of adventure sports as well as adventure tourism. Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir (ATOK) in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council organized the sporting event. Adventure enthusiasts from Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand participated in the game.
Protestors pelted stones at police near Gairsain in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli. The demonstrators were demanding widening of the 19-km road from Ghat to Nandprayag. Police lathi-charged and used water cannons to disperse the crowd. “With their demand of widening the road, they called for a march to the state Assembly. Attempts were made to stop the protesters at Jangalchatti barrier but they moved further after a scuffle. They were again stopped at Diwalikhal which is the final barrier. Then, the protesters hurled stones at the police. Many jawans sustain injuries. One of them got serious injuries on the head,” said Chamoli SP Yashwant Singh. Watch the full video for more.

On the issue of security of senior citizens in the national capital, SN Shrivastava, Commissioner of Police, Delhi said that, a total of 39 thousand senior citizens are registered under Delhi Police Senior Citizen cell. Recently we started a public relations campaign and sent public relation vehicles. Through these, 600 more senior citizens have been registered. The beat officers regularly visit and meet these senior citizens. The Senior Citizen Cell talks to them and ensures help. During the COVID period, they were especially taken care of as they could not get out of their house. They could not get medicines and necessary goods. So that too was fulfilled by police personnel.
Uttar Pradesh government requested central government to approve 6-lane road from Gorakhpur to Lucknow, informed state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on March 05 in Gorakhpur. "Raj Ghat (cremation ground) has been renovated, unlike how it used to be, it's clean and have many facilities. We have also requested the Centre to approve 6-lane path from Gorakhpur to Lucknow.
