Addressing a public gathering in poll-bound Tamil Nadu, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapaddi K Palaniswami is being "fully controlled" by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the state needs an "independent" Chief Minister. "The coming election is about the future of Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister because of corruption is fully controlled by the Prime Minister. Tamil Nadu needs an independent CM," said Rahul Gandhi in Kuzhithurai.
"It is an expression of my concern," said Congress leader Anand Sharma on his two tweets against his party's decision for forging alliance with ISF. "What I have said is an expression of my concerns. Not only that I am firmly committed to Congress ideology, which is inclusive, democratic and secular, but I am also one of the historians and ideologue of the party and it has to be taken in that context," said Anand Sharma. Yogendra Yadav said, "In today's meeting of Samyukt Kisan Morcha, we have finalised the programmes till March 15. On March 06 when the protest enters Day 100, farmers will block Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway at different points between 11 am and 4 pm. On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 08, women protesters will be brought to the front at all the protest sites. From March 05, 'MSP Dilao' movement will be started in Karnataka, asking Prime Minister Modi to ensure MSP for crops."
