West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the residence of her nephew Abhishek Banerjee ahead of the CBI questioning his wife in the coal pilferage case. Meanwhile, the BJP mocked the Trinamool Congress and said that they are scared worried about the CBI notice. BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said that the CBI acts on the basis of evidence it finds and if they have done nothing wrong, there is no reason for them to worry. He further claimed that the CBI notices are not linked to the upcoming polls in the state. ‘I agree that elections are around the corner, but because of the elections, the investigation should not be stopped. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee rode pillion on an electric scooter to state secretariat Nabanna in protest against petrol price hike. Banerjee was seen riding pillion on an electric scooter ridden by Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim. Helmet-clad Banerjee waved at people on both sides of the road during the five-km-long journey from Hazra to the state secretariat.
