India has flattened its Covid-19 graph; 146 districts have no new cases for 7 days: Harsh Vardhan
Thursday, 28 January 2021 A total of 146 districts across the country have no new cases for the last seven days, 18 for the last 14 days, six for 21 days and 21 districts have not reported fresh cases of the coronavirus infection in the last 28 days, Vardhan said.
Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on January 28 attended 23rd GoM meeting on COVID-19 in Delhi. In the meeting, Vardhan said, "70% of our COVID19 cases are in Maharashtra and Kerala. So far, 153 cases of UK variant have been detected in India."
Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on April 16 said that doctors have understood the seriousness of the disease (COVID-19) and has more experience than before to combat the virus. "Even though the number of cases is increasing in 2021 compared to 2020, but doctors have more experience in 2021 and we understood the seriousness and the gravity of the disease very well," said Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.
The Government said a further 38 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Wednesday, bringing the UK total to 127,161.Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 151,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.The Government also said that, as of 9am on Wednesday, there had been a further 2,491 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.It brings the total to 4,378,305.

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan visited All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Trauma centre on April 16 and announced that 70 more beds will be added to Trauma Centre. "We have decided to add 70 more beds at the AIIMS Trauma Centre and 100 more beds at the National Cancer Institute, Jhajjar. I am sure we will be able to overcome the challenges we are facing due to surge in COVID19 cases now," the Minister said. "I have visited COVID wards in the Trauma Centre here with the Director and other doctors and met COVID patients individually. Most of them are in a recovery state. The main motive behind the visit is to check the bed availability and to increase according to the need. There are 266 COVID beds available in AIIMS till date, 253 are occupied with patients," he added.
Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan on April 16 said that strict action would be taken against those involved in black marketing of the Remdesivir drug. "Companies manufacturing COVID-19 drug Remdesivir have been asked to ramp up production. I assure you that strict action will be taken against those who are involved in black marketing of the drug and other malpractices," said Health Minister.
