Indian flight makes emergency landing in Karachi after passenger suffers cardiac arrest
Tuesday, 2 March 2021 Indigo Flight 6E1412 was coming from Sharjah and was bound for Lucknow. The plane was at the Karachi airport for 2 hours before leaving for Ahmedabad.
A Sharjah-Lucknow IndiGo flight made an emergency landing on Tuesday in Pakistan's Karachi after a medical emergency.
According to an official statement by the airline, the passenger was declared dead on arrival in Karachi by the airport medical team.

Mumbai's Karachi Bakery shut shop months after being attacked by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) over its name. MNS leader Haji Saif Shaikh had sent a legal notice in Nov 2020 to owner of the Bakery. Shaikh had asked him to remove ‘Karachi’ from the name. MNS leaders also protested in front of the shop in Bandra in November. “Patriots will never buy anything when they see the name ‘Karachi’. We made it clear that we only had problem with the name not the bakery,” said Shaikh. A Twitter handle, MNCDF Bombay, refuted the MNS Haji Saif Shaikh’s claim. The handle said that Karachi bakery shut its store due to lack of business. Karachi Bakery, a Hyderabad-based chain, is run by a Sindhi Hindu migrant family. They family moved to India after experiencing violence by pro-Pakistan elements. The bakery has shops across several cities including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru etc. Watch the full video for more.

Air India Express Sharjah-Calicut flight with 104 passengers on board was diverted due to technical reasons on February 19. However the flight landed safely at Thiruvananthapuram on February 19, said an airline spokesperson.

Oxygen cylinder blasted at the welding shop leading to the ambulance catching fire. Fire Tenders and Police reached the spot, and flames were brought in control. Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases in the Uttar Pradesh, administration took precautionary measures to contain the spread of virus. Lucknow administration imposed night curfew and restrictions on attendees at wedding ceremony. The announcement has adversely affected the wedding businesses which are still recovering from the aftermath of lockdown. The demand of wedding commodities has now fallen. The state government has imposed night curfew in parts of UP on April 08. Uttar Pradesh has registered 31,987 active cases so far.
Coronavirus cases are on uphill across country as second wave of pandemic tightens its grip. In wake of the rising infections, after Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad have also imposed night curfew. Night restrictions also imposed in Lucknow and Prayagraj. "Night curfew has been imposed till further orders, all essential services have been exempted but in order to prove they must have proper permission and Id-card with them," said Ranvijay Singh ADCP Noida.
As the country is reeling under the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, long queue of ambulances seen outside 1200-beded Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. Oxygen is being administered to patients in the ambulance only. On March 12, state reported 6,021 new infections and 55 deaths. Currently, Gujarat has over 30,000 actives cases of coronavirus, out of which 7,165 are in Ahmedabad alone. Gujarat is among the 10 worst-affected states in India due to pandemic.
After a newspaper in Gujarat claimed that NCP chief Sharad Pawar and party leader Praful Patel met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Ahmedabad recently amid political crisis in Maharashtra, NCP's Mumbai chief Nawab Malik dismissed the news and said that no such meeting has taken place. "A newspaper in Gujarat published a piece of news that (Sharad) Pawar Sahib and Praful Patel met Amit Shah. For the last two days, rumours are being spread on Twitter. No such meeting took place," said The rumour, however, was intensified by Shah himself who during a public rally where he said that everything cannot be made public.
