Clash broke out between BJP and TMC workers during a roadshow of party state president Dilip Ghosh's in West Bengal's Bardhaman on April 13. Party workers of BJP, TMC pelted stones at each other. TMC Party office was also vandalised. Police rushed to the spot and handled the situation. The fifth and sixth phases of the ongoing Assembly elections in the state will take place on April 17 and April 22. Counting of votes will take place on May 02.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled class 10 exams and postponed class 12 exams in view of surge in COVID-19 cases. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The result for Class 10 will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion developed by the board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks will be given an opportunity to sit for exams when the situation is conducive. The situation to conduct Class 12 Board exams will be reviewed on June 1. Students will be given at least a 15-day notice before the exams are conducted. Watch the full video for more.

As India records biggest ever single-day spike in Covid cases, CBSE has cancelled class 10th exams and postponed the class 12th exam. Class 10th Students will be evaluated on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams. DMK chief MK Stalin paid a floral tribute to BR Ambedkar at Koyambedu in Chennai. Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was born on 14 April, 1891 in Mhow of Madhya Pradesh. Termed as the father of Indian constitution, he always worked for the welfare of deprived people. Ambedkar was conferred with Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in 1990.
