Delhi facing shortage of oxygen and ICU beds, informed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on April 17. "Delhi has a limited number of ICU beds. Oxygen and ICU beds are decreasing very sharply. We are taking several steps to scale up beds capacity," said CM Kejriwal.
The national capital reported over 24,000 fresh COVID infections in last 24 hours, informed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on April 17. "Around 24,000 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours, data will come shortly. There is shortage of oxygen and Remdesivir in Delhi," said CM Kejriwal.
Delhi Special Commissioner of Police Sanjay Singh urged people to stay at home and step out of home only if necessary. He also requested people to follow COVID-19 SOPs and to maintain basic hygiene for the safety of their family members. The Delhi Special Commissioner of Police added that Delhi government has taken the step of weekend curfew to break the chain of COVID-19.
