After the meeting at Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar's residence on March 21, Jayant Patil said that there is no question of Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's resignation. "ATS is investigating Antilia and Mansukh Hiren Case. We believe the culprit will be caught and punished," said Jayant Patil. Meeting was attended by Praful Patel, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil and Supriya Sule. Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had levelled allegations against Deshmukh accusing him of demanding extortion money from Sachin Waze.
Amid the political turmoil in Maharashtra in wake of allegations levelled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh against the state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, a meeting is underway at the residence of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on March 21. Party leaders Praful Patel, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil and Supriya Sule are present at the meeting. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, Congress leader Kamal Nath also attended the meeting. Earlier in the day, Sharad Pawar said that there will be no impact on Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar spoke on the transfer of Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh and the arrest of police officer Sachin Vaze. Pawar said that the government is not trying to save anyone. NCP Mumbai President Nawab Malik also said that the case is being investigated and the decision will be taken as per probe results. Earlier, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis alleged that the Maharashtra government is trying to save Sachin Vaze, who was arrested by NIA in the alleged role in Antilia bomb scare case. Maharashtra Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis accused Maharastra Police of harassing a Daman-based Remdesivir supplier for agreeing to supply a stock of the drug to the state on the request of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders. “We had requested Bruck Pharma to supply a stock of Remdesivir vials to Maharashtra. They said they couldn't until permissions were given. I spoke with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and got Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s permission. Tonight around 9 pm, the police arrested him," said Fadnavis. He added that the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Manjunath Singe told they had inputs that some exporters had 60,000 vials and they only wanted to verify the same. Reacting to the resignation of Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, the BJP said the NCP leader Sharad Pawar must have understood the implications of giving a clean chit to Deshmukh who tendered his resignation to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on April 05. "Sharad Pawar Ji is a senior political leader of the country. He ought to have understood the implications of giving a complete clean chit to Anil Deshmukh," said Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad while also pressing for a fair investigation. Anil Deshmukh is facing allegations of corruption levelled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.

"After the high court order, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh met Pawar Ji and party leaders and said he doesn't want to remain in the post because the inquiry will be there. He went to tender his resignation to the CM. Party has requested to the CM to accept his resignation," said Nawab Malik. Anil Deshmukh's resignation comes amid corruption allegations by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. In his resignation letter to Maharashtra CM, Home Minister said he doesn't find it morally correct to continue as the home minister after Bombay High Court's order.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut came forward to defend Maharashtra Minister Anil Parab over the allegation levelled by Sachin Waze, and said no Shiv Sainik can take false oath in the name of Bala Saheb Thackeray. "A new tactic has come to light wherein people who are in jail write letters. This is a political conspiracy. I know Anil Parab, he can never indulge in such work. I can assure, no Shiv Sainik can take a false oath in Bala Saheb Thackeray's name," said Raut.
