5 jawans killed, 12 wounded in Maoist ambush in Chhattisgarh

At least five security personnel lost their lives and 10 others were injured on Saturday during an encounter with Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur, reported PTI quoting officials. The police said that some Maoists were also killed in the encounter which is still underway. Gunbattle broke out in the Tarrem area when a joint team of security forces was on an anti-Naxal operation.
