A COVID-19 patient died in ICU ward of Shivpuri District Hospital after a ward boy allegedly removed the oxygen planted. Anguished at the demise, family of deceased created ruckus in the hospital premises and urged for a probe in the matter. A team of 3 doctors has been formed by the Superintendent of the Medical College to look into the matter and submit the report within 48 hours following which appropriate action will be taken. Amid surge in COVID-19 infections, first phase of Uttar Pradesh Panchayat polls commenced from April 15. Polling of first phase will take place in 18 districts. Coronavirus cases are on uphill across country as second wave of pandemic tightens its grip. In wake of the rising infections, after Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad have also imposed night curfew. "Night curfew has been imposed till further orders, all essential services have been exempted but in order to prove they must have proper permission and Id-card with them," said Ranvijay Singh ADCP Noida.
Northern Railway General Manager Ashutosh Gangal informed that forensic investigation will be held on the fire that broke out in generator car of Shatabdi Express at Ghaziabad railway station on March 20. "Luggage is being unloaded to control the fire, otherwise, it is getting difficult to douse it. Once it's taken down completely, belongings will be seized and sent for a forensic inquiry to find out what caused the fire," said Ashutosh Gangal. Fire department official Sushil Kumar informed that generator and luggage compartment of Shatabdi Express had caught fire.

UP govt has already announced restrictions on gatherings of people in view of Covid. Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday reported highest-ever single-day spike of 18,021 cases and 85 deaths. Adityanath govt has also imposed a night curfew in districts with over 500 active cases.
