PM Modi hands over patrol vessel, dedicates development projects to Seychelles
Thursday, 8 April 2021 () The projects were jointly inaugurated by Modi and President of SeychellesWavel Ramkalawan. The new magistrates' court building in the capital city Victoria is India's first major civil infrastructure project in Seychelles built with grant assistance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on 100th anniversary of the founding of the state of Jordan. He said India and Jordan will continue to walk side by side to work together for better future of all humanity. "India and Jordan are united in belief that moderation and peaceful co-existence are essential for peace and prosperity. We will continue to walk side by side in our joint efforts for a better future for all humanity," said PM Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed at the inaugural session of Raisina Dialogue 2021 via video conference on April 13. While addressing the event, PM Modi said that, amid COVID-19 pandemic, the 6th edition of Raisina Dialogue is taking place at a watershed moment in human history. "A global pandemic has been ravaging the world for over a year. The last such global pandemic was a century ago. Although, humanity has faced many infectious diseases since then. The world today is underprepared to handle the COVID pandemic. Our scientists, researchers and industries have answered some questions. Many solutions have emerged and many more are yet to come," PM added.
During a virtual summit with President of Seychelles, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that India will stand firmly with Seychelles in its effort for post-COVID economic recovery. "Wavel Ramkalawan is a son of India with his roots in Gopalgunj, Bihar. Today not just the people of his village but all Indians feel proud of his achievements. His election as President shows people of Seychelles have a dedication to public service," said PM Modi. "India is honoured to have played role of strong partner of Seychelles in this fight against COVID. During times of need, we were able to supply essential medicines and 50,000 doses of vaccine. India will stand firmly with Seychelles in its effort for post-COVID economic recovery," Prime Minister added.
President of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan during a virtual meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked him for solidarity and contribution in fight against COVID-19 by donating 50,000 doses of Covishield vaccine."In little less than 2 months, we'll be commemorating 45th anniversary of formal establishment of diplomatic relations between Seychelles and India. The support we have received from India has contributed immensely to socio-economic development of Seychelles," said President of Seychelles. He added, "What better example of Indian solidarity than your donation of 50,000 doses of Covishield vaccine. If we're nearing our target of achieving 70% of heard immunity by April 2021 and have re-opened our country to business, it is due to this precious donation."
