A day after former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Covid situation in the country, Union minister Harsh Vardhan in turn shot a letter back at Manmohan, telling him to ask his party men to also follow his advise.

Amid India's worst Covid wave yet, a sliver of hope emerged. The Union government revealed districts without new cases in weeks. 32 districts have not seen any new cases in almost a month. The Union health minister revealed the stats during ministers' meet. “For the last 7 days, 180 districts haven't seen new cases. 18 districts haven't seen new cases in the last 14 days. 54 districts haven't seen new cases in the last 21 days and 32 districts have not seen new cases in the last 28 days,” said Harsh Vardhan. However, India did add over 4 lakh new cases in just 24 hours. India currently has over 37 lakh active cases and over 2.38 lakh deaths. Watch the full video for more.

The 88-year-old Congress veteran was hospitalised after testing positive for Covid. Singh was admitted to AIIMS trauma centre, a dedicated Covid facility, on April 19. Singh received the first dose of Covid vaccine on March 4 & second dose on April 3.
