Book those involved in black-marketing of medicines like Remdesivir under NSA: Yogi Adityanath
Wednesday, 21 April 2021 () Chairing a review meeting with his core team of 11 top officials here, Adityanath reiterated that there was no plan to impose a lockdown in the state. He also directed the officials to install GPS devices on oxygen tankers and provide adequate security to oxygen plants.
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath on May 08 said despite being the most populous state of the country, UP is fighting coronavirus effectively. "I inspected integrated COVID Control Center in Bareily. Since last week 2800 active cases have reduced in this zone. It was predicted that UP will see 1 lakh positive cases per day from May 5 but as on May 8 we reported 26,000 cases. It means our COVID strategy and management is successful. From April 30 we're seeing decline in cases and we also started special screening and testing in villages," CM added while addressing a press conference in Bareilly.
UP govt started the first phase of vaccination for 18-44 age group in seven districts. CM Yogi Adityanath launching the programme from Avantibai Hospital in Lucknow. He said people above 18 years are being vaccinated for free with priority in seven districts. These districts include Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Kanpur and Meerut. The districts have reported high Covid positivity rates and have high active caseload. At least 85 centres have been dedicated to people above the age of 18 years. So far, over 1.23 crore vaccine doses have been administered to people in the state.
