Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on May 04 appealed people to donate healthcare equipment due to unprecedented rise in COVID-19 cases in the state. He also directed hospitals with more than 50-bed capacity to have their own oxygen generation plant. "In view of rising COVID-19 cases, we need to create additional bed capacity. I urge people to donate healthcare equipment. We have made it mandatory for hospitals with more than 50-bed capacity to have their own oxygen generation plant and they have to complete this within six months. The initiative has been taken to gear up for the future,"said Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij.

One week lockdown in Haryana to break transmission chain: Anil Vij

Health Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij, on May 02 announced a one-week lockdown, starting from May 03, in the state to curb the spread of COVID-19. Except essential services, everything remain closed in the state, Vij added. "A complete lockdown for 7 days will help break the chain of COVID-19 infection. During the lockdown, essential services will be allowed," Vij told media persons.
