Covid-19: India reports 60, 753 cases in last 24 hours, active cases lowest after 74 days
Saturday, 19 June 2021 India on Saturday reported 60, 753 cases in last 24 hours, taking the country's tally to 29,823,546, according to the Union ministry of health and family welfare. As many as 1,647 people succumbed to Covid-19 and 97,743 recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll and recoveries to 385,137 and 28,678,390 respectively so far.
India's Covid cases continue to fall with the country recording 58,419 cases, the lowest in over 80 days. The country witnessed 1,576 virus-related deaths during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities to 3.86 lakh.

Government data up to July 26 shows that of the 84,112,856 Covid jabs given in the UK, 46,653,796 were first doses, a rise of 64,585 on the previous day.Some 37,459,060 were second doses, an increase of 171,676.

The second T20I between India and Sri Lanka has been postponed as India all-rounder Krunal Pandya tested positive for Covid-19.
The contest that was scheduled to be held on July 27 stands postponed will now take place on July 28 if the rest of the players test negative. The third T20I will subsequently be held on July 29 in Colombo.
Apparently, eight close contacts of Krunal has been placed under isolation and all of them are from the Indian camp.
