Parliamentary committee on home affairs to visit Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh
Sunday, 1 August 2021 The parliamentary standing committee on home affairs will pay a visit to Jammu & Kashmir as well as Ladakh from August 17 to 21 for a detailed examination of matters relating to administration, development and people’s welfare in the two Union territories.
UK Parliamentarian Bob Blackman on Thursday said that Islamist forces will eliminate democracy in Kashmir like we saw in Afghanistan, if the Indian troops were to be withdrawn. Blackman was responding in a debate on human rights situation in Kashmir at the House of Commons.

Taliban stopped 72 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus, including two Members of Parliament representing the minority community from boarding an IAF aircraft, and returned from the Kabul airport Saturday. From the time the Taliban took over, a group of 280 Afghan Sikhs and 30-40 Hindus have taken shelter at the Karte Parwan Gurdwara in Kabul.

Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari will take over as Chief of Air Staff after the retirement of Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria on September 30. He was serving as commander-in-chief of the Western Air Command (WAC) that looks after the security of Indian air space in the sensitive Ladakh sector as well as various other parts of north India.
