Nehru gave up on Assam during ’62 war, says Amit Shah

Union home minister Amit Shah attacked Congress here on Saturday, claiming that the party had virtually written off the entire Northeast as a part of India ever since the country’s first PM, Jawaharlal Nehru, gave up on Assam during the 1962 Chinese invasion, while PM Narendra Modi has worked to bridge the gap between the Northeast and the rest of India.
