Massive fire at Nashik chemical factory kills 2, injures 17
Sunday, 1 January 2023 At least two workers were killed and 17 others injured when a massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Nashik's Igatpuri on Sunday. It was not clear what triggered the blaze. Nashik divisional commissioner Radhadkrishna Game suspected a blast in one of the reactors.

Two luxury travel buses collided on NH 6 in Maharashtra's Buldhana district on Saturday morning. Reports said that as many as six people, including two women, died and 25 were injured. A police official said that the accident occurred around 2.30 am on a flyover in Malkapur town in the district. According to reports, the condition of four to five people is said to be critical. A senior police official said that the accident happened when one bus, going to Hingoli on the Amarnath pilgrimage, collided with another bus going towards Nashik. He further said that the bus going towards Nashik tried to overtake a truck and ended up coming in front of the second bus.
