Wednesday, 8 February 2023 The Congress on Wednesday strongly criticised the expunging of certain remarks by Rahul Gandhi in Parliament targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and alleged that "democracy was cremated" in Lok Sabha. In his remarks in Lok Sabha, Rahul had alleged that the meteoric rise in Gautam Adani's fortunes happened after the BJP came to power in 2014.

Eight Congress MLAs were sworn in as ministers in the Karnataka Cabinet during the oath-taking ceremony in Bengaluru on Saturday. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administered the oath of office and secrecy to the MLAs at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
