Army’s Cheetah crashes in Arunachal, 2 pilots killed

IndiaTimes Thursday, 16 March 2023
The Army’s aviation wing lost two pilots, Lt Col VVB Reddy and Major Jayanth A, when their Cheetah helicopter crashed in Arunachal on Thursday. The obsolete single-engine Cheetah and Chetak helicopters, which are of the design vintage of the 1960s and lack modern avionics and in-built safety mechanisms, have had a particularly poor track record.

Common uniform for officers of rank above Brigadier to take effect from 1st August | Oneindia News

From 1st of August this year, all officers in the Indian army of the rank of Brigadier and above will wear common uniform.. irrespective of their regimental or corps affiliation. This is not a new change. This practice existed earlier too..and the Army is now just reverting to the practice that was followed almost 40 years ago, when the changes towards wearing regimental affiliations took hold in the service. This decision has been taken at the recently held Army Commanders’ Conference that was organized in a hybrid format for the first time. #Indianarmy#Commonuniformarmy#Armyuniformindia ~PR.153~HT.98~ED.155~
