South Korean Streamer Harassed: Indian man arrested for harassing S.Korean streamer in Hong Kong

Hong Kong police have arrested an Indian man suspected of molesting a Korean visitor while she was live streaming for her solo travel blog in Central. The Police said the suspect was a 46-year-old man, and more information on the case would be provided later in the day. A viral 60-second online clip recorded during her live stream shows the woman’s ordeal began when she was approached by a man near a tram stop in Central on Sunday night. The visitor, in Hong Kong for the first time, attempted to get rid of him, but he kept on pestering her and placed his arm on her shoulder as she walked along. As they reached an entrance of Central MTR station, the man grabbed her arm and said in English: “Come with me.” “Please don’t hold my arm,” she pleaded in English, while trying to push him away. The live-streamer continued to resist the man’s advances, but the man in the video continued to follow her. #Southkoreanstreamerharassed #Southkoreanstreamerhongkong #Indianmanassaultsstreamer ~PR.153~ED.101~HT.96~GR.124~

Record rainfall brings Hong Kong to a standstill; Black rainstorm sparks flooding, landslides

Residents in urban areas in Hong Kong woke to serious flooding and damage caused by torrential rain under the first black rainstorm warning in almost two years on Friday, with most reported landslides hitting Hong Kong Island. The torrential rain was brought by Haikui, a typhoon that made landfall in the Chinese province of Fujian on Tuesday. Although it weakened to a tropical depression, its slow-moving clouds have dumped huge volumes of precipitation on areas still soaked by rain from a super typhoon a week earlier. The weather bureau issued the highest "black" rainstorm warning and said more than 200mm of rainfall was recorded on Hong Kong's main island, Kowloon and the northeastern part of the city's New Territories since Thursday night. #Hongkongtyphoonhaikui #Hongkongrainfall #TyphoonHaikui ~HT.99~PR.153~ED.101~

Women’s Reservation Bill: Kharge’s comments irk Nirmala Sitharaman | War of words | Oneindia News

Rajya Sabha's leader of opposition Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said the women's reservation bill was already passed in 2010, this after the Centre tabled the legislation seeking 33 per cent reservation for women in Lok Sabha and legislative assemblies. Kharge said political parties have a habit of choosing ‘weak’ women and they will not choose those who are educated and can fight, triggering opposition from the treasury benches. Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman hit back at Kharge, saying,"We respect the leader of the opposition but to make a sweeping statement that all parties choose women who are not effective is absolutely unacceptable. We all have been empowered by our party, the PM. President Droupadi Murmu is an empowered woman". #WomenReservationBill #RajyaSabha #WomenReservation #MallikarjunKharge #NirmalaSitharaman #KhargeVSSitharaman ~ED.103~ED.194~HT.178~
