32 years on, restored Manipuri film on love & loss returns to Cannes

Thirty-two years after it was last screened at the Cannes Film Festival, 'Ishanou' (The Chosen One)-director Aribam Syam Sharma's national-award-winning 1990 film about a mother torn between family and the call of divinity -will return to the coveted French red carpet, albeit in a chic new avatar.
