Praveen Sood takes over as CBI director, meets agency brass

Praveen Sood, a 1986-batch Karnataka cadre IPS officer, took charge as the new director of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday, replacing Subodh Kumar Jaiswal. He will have a fixed tenure of two years. Sood, who served as director general of police of Karnataka before his new assignment, held an interaction with the CBI brass soon after taking charge.
