The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has sent a 100 crore defamation notice to BJP MP Maneka Gandhi over her statement that the religious organisation sells cows to butchers for slaughter. The Iskcon has termed her allegations ‘completely unfounded’ and said the devotees were ‘deeply pained’ by the remarks. Vice President of ISKCON Kolkata, Radharaman Das said that ISCKON sent a ₹100 crore defamation notice to Maneka Gandhi for levelling what he called completely unfounded allegations against the institution.
