Tamil Nadu VAO, man booked for issuing death certificate to woman who 'disappeared' but is alive

A VAO and a woman's son have been booked for issuing a fraudulent death certificate for the alive woman, Lakshmi, who went missing in 2021. Her son used the certificate to transfer ancestral property. When Lakshmi was found by NGOs last year, she filed a complaint leading to an investigation and the suspension of the VAO.
