Fans Will Be Allowed to Bring Drugs to the Russia World Cup – With a Catchby 👨‍💻 Graham Pierrepoint

It’s hard to believe that it’s time again to take in what’s inarguably the most popular international soccer festival – as Russia looks set to play host to the best of international football talent later this summer. As the Winter Olympics have tied up in the Far East, things are set to move slightly west – as Russia prepares to host the 2018 World Cup in up to 11 of its most famous cities. Russia has hardly been out of the news for various reasons – their athletes were even banned from the recent Pyeongchang Winter Olympics due to continued controversy over doping – but all eyes will be on the colossal nation as the world’s best players congregate in an effort to bring home the fabled trophy.

This week, however, it’s emerged that certain rules regarding what fans can and can’t bring into the stands have caught certain media outlets’ eyes – as it’s emerged that certain drugs will be allowed to be brought in providing certain conditions are met. Bizarrely, this means that the likes of marijuana, heroin and cocaine can all legally be ushered in and consumed on-site – though you’ll need to do more than support your claim to such substances if you have any hope of getting them into the main grounds for Russia 2018.

Russian press has announced that stringent proof will be required to show that you are legally entitled to use certain drugs on prescription – and that you’ll need to offer such proof in the Russian language. It’s been reported that law enforcement will be on hand to ensure that any and all documentation and any substances, period, will be thoroughly checked before fans can enter the grounds. This means that – if you had any hope of carrying genuine hard drugs into the World Cup, you’ll likely be singled out unless you have the papers to prove you can legally use them. If you do – then you won’t be pursued!

This is interesting news indeed – though sports fans will likely be looking forward more to drinking in the action that is set to take place later this summer. 2018 is certainly set to be another big year for sport – will Germany retain their title as World Cup champions? Or will a new breed of world-class players push them to their limit? Let’s find out!
