Jagdish Chandra Bose’s 158th birthday celebrated with a Google doodle

Today’s Google doodle is dedicated to legendary scientist Jagdish Chandra Bose, celebrating what would be his 158th birth anniversary. Bose was a multi-talented scientist in the literal sense, and apart from biophysics, he was also famous for his innovations in the world of radio and microwave sciences. He is also credited with having invented one of the earliest versions of wireless telecommunication. Bose was born on November 30, 1858 in Mymensingh, now in Bangladesh. His father was Bhagawan Chandra Bose, a leader of the Brahmo Samaj, and an assistant commissioner in Faridpur. After studying Physics at the Calcutta University, he went on to attend the Cambridge University to complete his B.Sc. degree. As a scientist, Bose made several contributions in
