Here’s our brief rundown of some of the week’s most memorable moments for you to digest.

Aretha Franklin Passes Away, Age 76
We lost a colossal star from the music world this week – as Aretha Franklin, the undisputed Queen of Soul, reportedly passed away from pancreatic cancer. Tributes from all over the world – and from industry to industry – have poured out, with the likes of Barack Obama, Elton John and Ariana Grande leading the way. Franklin’s talent is one which will never be replicated, but which will always be inspirational. It’s safe to say that global streaming charts will explode with repeat listenings of some of her biggest and best hits in the days to come – and why not?
