France calls on Turkey not to act unilaterally in Syria
Monday, 7 October 2019 France on Monday called on Turkey to avoid any actions that could go against the interests of the anti-Islamic State coalition after the United States began pulling troops back from the northeast Syria border.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan took aim at the European Union and Arab powers Saudi Arabia and Egypt on Tuesday, which have voiced opposition to Turkey’s operation against Kurdish fighters in Syria. Emily Wither reports.
