Hezbollah: Hariri resignation wastes time needed for reform in Lebanon
Thursday, 31 October 2019 Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc said on Thursday the resignation of Saad al-Hariri as prime minister had wasted time needed to enact reforms which are widely seen as necessary to steer Lebanon out of an economic crisis.
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri resigned on Tuesday amid protests that called for his government to resign. Violence also hit Lebanon's streets as mobs loyal to Hezbollah tore down tents and fought with demonstrators. Lucy Fielder reports.
