Mexican security forces corral migrants after hundreds enter from Guatemala
Thursday, 23 January 2020 Dozens of Mexican security forces corralled a caravan of Central Americans who entered from Guatemala on Thursday, testing Mexico's resolve to contain mass movements of people under pressure from the Trump administration.
Mexican authorities on Thursday adopted tougher measures against Central American migrants, detaining 800 of them who had entered Mexico illegally from Guatemala intending to reach the border with the United States. Michelle Hennessy reports.
