Bengaluru, Jun 13 (ANI): Congress leaders on Wednesday celebrated the initial lead of candidate Sowmya Reddy from Karnataka's Jayanagar assembly constituency after the fourth round of counting.

The congress candidate was leading in Jayanagar Assembly constituency contest after fourth round of vote count today over Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominee B.N. Prahlad.

Polling was held on May 11 Assembly elections in the seat was countermanded following the death of BJP contestant B.N. Vijaya Kumar.

On June 5, the Janata Dal (Secular) (JD-S) had withdrawn its candidate from the constituency after it decided to support Congress..
