Aug.21 -- Peter Botten, managing director at Oil Search Ltd., tells Bloomberg's Haidi Stroud-Watts that a China-U.S. trade war may be a blessing for the company.

The company operates all of Paupa New Guinea's oil fields.

Botten also says that the last few days of political uncertainty in Australia makes Papua New Guinea more stable.
