888pkg888 sj: due to the deadly san bruno pipeline explosion in 2010, pg&amp;e is on probation, and had until today, to address if they had any involvement in the start of the camp fire...which would be in violation of that probation.

This comes as california attorney general xavier becerra says it is possible that pg&amp;e could face charges including manslaughter.

The utility company's response had a december 31st deadline.

With a explain any role it may have played in the massive wildfire as a part of another case facing pg&amp;e stemming from a deadly 2010 gas pipeline explosion in the san francisco bay area.

Pg&amp;e is on probation as a part of that case and cannot commit any "any determination that it started a wildfire by recklessly operating power lines in violation of law would bear on case."

Cal fire has not released the official cause of the fire and are still investgating but pg&amp;e has admitted that their crews "were among the first to observe the fire."

In a statement to the press about the filing the utillity company said "we continue to assess our infrastructure with the goal of further enhancing of the customers we serve from the ever-increasing threat of wildfires."
