Sanders Says He Was Unaware of Sexual Harassment in 2016 Campaign
Allegations of sexual harassment from staff members from Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign have surfaced, but the senator says he was unaware of the issues at the time.????A New York Times report said roughly a dozen female campaign staffers state that they were harassed or experienced sexism and they didn’t feel superiors handled those claims properly.????When speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper about his knowledge of the allegations at the time, Sanders said “I was a little bit busy running around the country, trying to make the case.”????The Vermont Senator continued…????(Sanders SOT)??“So I certainly apologize to any woman who felt that she was not treated appropriately and of course, if I run we will do better next time.”????Sanders added that as part of his Senate re-election campaign, changes were made in training and policies and staff members were able voice any concerns to an independent firm.
