Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen is back in the headlines for a meeting he had back in 2015 in Trump Tower.
??According to the Wall Street Journal, Cohen hired a small IT firm, RedFinch Solutions to rig polls in favor of Trump before the campaign started.
??The meeting in question happened with Cohen, now a convicted felon, and John Gauger.
??Gauger allegedly came to Cohen’s office to collect 50-grand for his work.
??The Journal says Cohen gave him a quote, “blue Walmart bag containing between $12,000 and $13,000 in cash and a boxing glove that was worn by a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter.” ??Cohen disputed the claims, saying all money paid to Gauger was by check.
??Gauger told the Journal he never received the rest of the money he says he was owed.
??It’s worth noting that Gauger is also the Chief Information Officer at Liberty University...that’s where Jerry Falwell Jr, a big time Trump supporter, is president.
??President Trump has repeatedly attacked his former fixer on Twitter and in person...??“Michael Cohen is lying and he’s trying to get a reduced sentence for things that have nothing to do with me.” ??Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison in December of 2018.
He’s set to testify publicly in front of Congress in February.
