Woman Medevaced From Cruise Ship 50 Miles Off North Carolina Coast

A 40-year-old woman was medevaced from a cruise ship approximately 50 miles off the coast of North Carolina on Monday, January 21.Staff at the Carnival Pride cruise ship contacted the US Coast Guard North Carolina command center and notified them that the woman was suffering from abdominal pain and required a medevac.An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter was dispatched from Air Station Elizabeth City to assist the operation, according to the US Coast Guard.The woman was transported to Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, North Carolina, accompanied by her spouse and a nurse.
