George Clooney Initially DIdn't Want To Produce 'Catch-22'
George Clooney returns to TV for the first time in 20 years with an adaptation of classic novel “Catch-22." Reuters reports the actor said on Monday the Hulu series aims to highlight the “insanity” of war.
During the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Clooney said he initially resisted the book adaptation.
'Catch 22' is a book by Joseph Heller from 1961about a U.S. soldier fighting the higher-ups in the military bureaucracy.
Clooney, who produced the series and directed two episodes, said, “It’s a beloved novel.
I didn’t want to get into the middle of that.” The six-episode series will be released on Hulu on May 17.
