Report: Trump's 2020 Budget Includes $8.6B for Border Wall
On Monday, President Donald Trump is set to deliver his fiscal year 2020 budget plan. This will be the president's first budget since Democrats took over the House, and the proposal reportedly includes some provisions Dems might not like.
One of the biggest proposals is an $8.6 billion funding request for a border wall.
According to Reuters, that's six times what the U.S. already allocated for border projects in each of the past two years.
The funding request comes not long after after a five-week partial government shutdown that began because of the debate over border wall funding.
The White House is also expected to propose a 5 percent cut across the board for all federal agencies, except when it comes to defense spending.
