Surprises About Asteroid Bennu Discovered By NASA

According to Gizmodo.com, "Near-Earth asteroid Bennu is not what it seems. Instead of a smooth surface sprinkled with a few large boulders, scientists discovered a rough, rocky planetoid spewing plumes of dust and gravel." Dante Lauretta, OSIRIS-REx principal investigator at the University of Arizona, Tucson, stated, “The discovery of plumes is one of the biggest surprises of my scientific career.

And the rugged terrain went against all of our predictions.”
