Extinction Rebellion Demonstrators Glue Themselves to London Trains
Multiple Extinction Rebellion demonstrators, including an 83-year-old man, climbed on top of and glued themselves to a Docklands Light Railway [DLR] train in London’s Canary Wharf financial district on April 25.
Demonstrators had previously carried out a similar action on April 17.
The protest came in the wake of the clearing of the main demonstration areas at Oxford Circus, Marble Arch, Waterloo Bridge, Parliament Square and Piccadilly Circus.
The Metropolitan Police stated on April 14 that they had made 1,088 arrests since the demonstrations began on April 11.
