Shanahan Heads To Texas As Pentagon Struggles To Deal With Trump's Immigration Policy
Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan will make his second trip to the U.S.-Mexico border on Saturday.
Shanahan's trip comes against the background of the Pentagon's search for a longer-term plan to support President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
According to Reuters, the former Boeing Co executive is slated to travel to McAllen, Texas.
There, he'll meet with officials on the border and visit a migrant processing facility and Border Patrol station.
