These Artworks are More Expensive Than Jeff Koons 'Rabbit'

Congratulations is in order!

Jeff Koons has become the most expensive living artist when his work 'Rabbit' sold for $91.1 million this week at an auction in New York City.

The piece was inspired by a child's inflatable toy and was one of three limited edition pieces, with Koons' creating one additional version as an artist's proof.

Pennsylvania-born Koons beat out British artist David Hockney who previously held the title/ In 2018, Hockney's artwork, Portrait of an Artist, was sold for $90.3 million.

But you will be surprised to know that Koons' artwork will be dwarfed if we compare his work-in terms of money-with other artists.

Watch the video above to see the most expensive artworks ever sold throughout the recent years that have surpassed Jeff Koons' masterpiece auction sale price.
