All tell me its hard to wrap their minds around as to why their loved one is dead... need justice for santonio."
"he didn't deserve to die" few words from santonia carruthers mother just two weeks after her son was shot and killed inside his apartment.
No arrest has been made... "he was shot six times, once in the chest, jaw, twice in the shoulder the lower stomach and in the growing."
Quintavious carruthers says his brother is gone too soon and now the family wants justice to be served... "it's really devastating it's kind of hard to cope with," wtva has reached out to the tupelo police department for more answers and we were told by the police captain chuck mcdougal someone has been interviewed and the case remains under investigation.
The day after the shooting, i went out into the neighborhood and spoke with a resident who said the shooting happened inside her apartment but would not give any further comments today.

The carruthers family held a vigil last week to remember the life of santonio who left behind a five-year-old deaf son... "it hurts he won't even get to know his daddy."
"he can't hear, he's deaf so he doesn't know what's going on right now, it's going to be hard when he grows up and i have to tell him what happened to his father and how he was killed."
The carruthers family still has high hopes justice will be served... "the way he lost his life it was very unfair, i feel like no matter what a person does no one deserves lose their life like that, this is something that can't go unseen we need justice for santonio.
